Boston seventh-grader dies from probable case of meningitis

A 12-year-old Boston Latin Academy student died today after being hospitalized over the weekend with a probable case of bacterial meningitis, health officials said this evening.

Meningitis alert issued at ASC

ALAMOSA — An Adams State student is being treated for meningitis, according to Ken Marquez, vice president for Student Affairs. The infected student, who does not reside on campus, appears to have the viral form of the disease, rather than the more contagious bacterial form.
